- INSTALLS IN MINUTES — NO ELECTRICIAN NEEDED FOR CONNECTION: Drill a 3-1/8" hole in your countertop, drop the unit in, tighten the mounting ring from below, and plug the included 6-foot 14 AWG power cord into any existing GFCI-protected outlet. No hardwiring, no permit, no electrician required for the connection itself. The GFCI outlet on your circuit is required, and you'll need minimum 8" of depth under the countertop for the Standard model and 10" for the USB model.
